FWIW, and it's been a while since I did it, so don't ask me for the detailed process, but I think I found instructions either here or on Reddit, or both. At any rate, I installed Nickel Menu and enabled Dropbox for a 2013 Kobo Aura HD, and it worked just fine. I did eventually part with the Aura HD, so I don't have it now.

If you have Forma, Sage, Libra Colour, or Elipsa, Dropbox (and Google Drive) are supported natively. I use Dropbox ALL the time. It's as simple as adding an epub or kepub to the Rakuten Kobo Dropbox folder, then downloading them from there. Faster than Send-to-Kindle or bothering with emailing to Kindle by far!

There is no reading position or annotation sync, but I primarily read epub and can just use Adobe page number to sync between my Kobos or even my Pocketbook Era as necessary. As for annotations, I don't really do that, other than for proofreading, and once I've made my corrections, all are deleted.

Interesting...I will be keeping my open for a used Forma or Sage so that I can try this. I checked Kobo, Amazon, Woot, ebay, and the Goodwill online shop. I'm open to suggestions for other places to look, if anyone has any.
