Apple announced the availability of iOS 26 today. Has anyone tried your ebook readers on it? If yes, how compatible are they?

BookFusion seems to be working with iOS 26 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I've yet to try it on my iPad Pro (2022) 12.9" with iPadOS 26.

One of the new iPadOS 26 features is Flexible Windowing. I think it replaces Slide Over / Split Screen and is one of the alternatives to Stage Manager (grouped applications) and Full Screen Apps. Stage Manager now works on all iPads with iPadOS 26.

I would not be surprised if there were not apps that didn't like being arbitrarily resized; some never even supported split screen or slide over.

There are also drop down Mac-like menus; again maybe some apps do not support those.

(I'm still waiting to learn of any reading app that supports user installed system fonts (I think iOS 9 introduced that feature)).

Kindle, Apple Books, BookFusion seem to behave well.

Yeah, I did, too. Lost Marvin. I've been trying to go back to 18, but so far no joy. I use this ipad for reading pdfs, so not terrible and it did keep me from updating my ipad mini that I use only for reading epubs on Marvin.

To create epubs from fanfiction.net I use a Firefox extension Ficlab that creates nicely formatted books according to your preferences. If calibre manages your ebooks, you can set up the name to automatically fill in the author/title also.
Once I have the epub I can read it on many book readers.

Marvin was totally unusable for me under 26. The books open, but can't get past the first page.

I ended up buying another ipad that was on 18 and am not updating until Apple has an update that fixes the problem or I find another ereader that I like just as much as Marvin. I understand a new ereader is in the works and have high hopes for it.

Can you point me to more info on Shubook? I looked them up, but they don't give details I need as to how the app works. Does it show page numbers and total pages in book? Does it allow tap on either right or left to page forward and swipe to tap back?
