Add titles in Mosaic display mode?
Hello
Is there any way to add titles to books while in mosaic display mode? Some of the covers on my books have really terrible covers that don't display readable titles ![]() Thanks! |

Long-tap the book and do “Ignore cover”.
I do this for all academic papers because their “cover” their first page with title, abstract, and text

No, what I mean is that I would like both a cover and the title of the book just below it.
Added attached image of how I imagine it! I have no problems editing the .lua files if that is what it takes |

Did you try it?
When you ignore cover it is replaced by the title. Otherwise, you would need a user patch |

Yes I did try it. What it does is REPLACE the book cover. What I want is to have BOTH the title and the cover, is that possible? Do I need to add custom plugins to change the layout in such a significant way?
I am willing to do that if I can be pointed in the right direction.

I use cover display, and I must admit I was surprised that there’s no default option that displays the cover AND the title at the same time. The list view does not deliver if you want to see 10+ books at the same time. I would definitely use if such a display existed.
I found ProjectTitle interesting but it seem to be way too intrusive and intricate to setup. It looks like it replaces the entire UI not just the book view and some of the features require calibre to be setup in a certain way, which is not a trivial ask. |
