But if plugins want to parse html or xml using lxml directly, the relevant functions are safe_xml_fromstring and safe_html_fromstring from the calibre.utils.xml_parse module

I think it was requested that you remove the version where you added .1 to the version number. i.e. 1.4.2.1 is bad, 1.4.3 is okay.

I've put fixes into github and as official releases for GoodReads Sync, Modify ePub and Quality Check in my capacity as his backup.
