update 8.12 - Calibre won't start - Resolved
HI!
I installed update 8.12 on Windows 11 24H2, and it asked me to restart my computer. Now Calibre won't start. Panic!!! Thanks. Last edited by IndioB; Yesterday at 03:58 PM. |

Just uninstall / reinstall.
The preferences and calibre library will not be affected. |

I've been adding links and notes to authors for several months now, spending many hours on it, and I'm terrified that all that work could be lost.
Although I take every precaution, I have installed the add-on that saves the cfg when closing, but even so, I can't shake the fear. |

It must have been a one-off issue, as I reinstalled it using the repair option and everything is working again. What a scare. Calibre is the programme of my life.
