Libra 2 Checked out library items don't show up in Kobo

greetings

I linked my Kobo Libra2 to my local library e-library through overdrive.

however, not all the books I checked out showed up on the Kobo, although they appear on Libby apps both on my android phone and Ipad.

the particular books are:
Gantz Omnibus volume 6
Gantz Omnibus volume 8

You might want to check the ISBN shown in Libby and compare it to the ISBN shown on the Kobo store. Kobo needs to have a matching book for sale in order for the automatic download to work, IIRC. You can contact Kobo support if the book exists in the store but has a different ISBN.

You're correct, the ISBN shown in kobo store is different from the one shown in Libby's bookcover.

Kobo store shows:
9781506749549

while Libby shows:
978-1-50671-545-2

Libby's ISBN can be validated on https://www.bookfinder.com/

Not sure how this happened, I've contacted kobo for support on the matter.

I did a search on Kobo with the Kobo ISBN and found the book. I then went to Libby and searched using the same ISBN and found the same book available to borrow at one of my libraries.

So my suggestion is to search Libby using the Kobo ISBN.

it doesn't list ISBN, ISBN number I posted earlier appears in the inside of cover

there seems to be a disconnect that how libby and kobo identify their respective books

Go tot he actual library's website and see what the ISBN shows. There could be different versions of the same book.

Both OverDrive and Kobo use the ISBN to identify books. You have to realize that quite a few changes to a book require a new ISBN. Minor corrections to correct spelling or grammatical errors generally don't require a change. Substantial content changes (foreword, chapter contents, promotional materials being updated for newly published books (for instance an author updating the Also by list) or changes in the title/subtitle will require a new ISBN. One example of this was an ebook I borrowed where the library version had the series name and the titles of the 3 books in the series as part of the title/subtitle while the Kobo edition just had the series name. I had to download the .acsm to download the .epub and then copy the epub to my Kobo ereaders instead of just syncing.
