I have an appointment with my doctor on Friday to set things in motion for an autism/adhd assessment. I'm sure I have both, but it would be nice to have an official diagnosis for various reasons.

The last couple of days I've been working on lists on which characteristics I think I have for both adhd and autism. I've been trying to be totally honest and it's been very confrontational to see it all put to paper. I'm feeling sorry for the kid I was that was always labelled as stupid, lazy, too sensitive, weird, just too much at times and who never fit in anywhere.

I've been having trouble sleeping these last couple of nights, and it isn't just because of the cold I have. Hopefully, after tomorrow's appointment I can get some rest.

I'm not going to the doctor tomorrow. Since I've been under the weather since Sunday I decided to do a Covid test and it came back as very positive. My first time having Covid. So, I moved the appointment to next Friday and I'm cancelling Monday's appointment to get my booster shot.

We'll probably skip going to my parents this weekend, after 5 days you're likely not contagious anymore and we'll have to decide whether to cancel the cleaner tomorrow (I know she isn't vaccinated, and I don't want to risk that).

The doctor's assistant said it's been going around the last couple of weeks and to call if it got worse.

My sister came back from Italy last Friday with it, it's not a souvenir I like.

Oh dear! I hope it stays mild, where you still think it's "just a cold". Good luck rearranging appointments and visits and etc.

You should talk to the doctor (not the PA) about Paxlovid. I can't imagine that you were told to wait and see if it got worse.

It was more like a flu, not the worst one I've had, but not pleasant either. I'm feeling a lot better, my sense of smell seems to be slowly returning this morning. I still tire easily, and I get an itchy throat especially during the night and I still have less appetite than normal. The itchy nighttime throat is the most annoying tbh.

I live in the Netherlands, where the doctor will often tell you to first take paracetamol and if you're still unwell 2 weeks later to make a new appointment. Paxlovid is only prescribed to high risk patients.

For now I just take it easy, take an afternoon nap and go to bed early.

Sorry, probably the way the tags works might be abusive, but imho it's not like generations aren't there.
The ones from just one year before mine was generations were conscripts - in a village - would be 18/24 persons, from mine we were 8 ones, later years had fewer borns each year. The ones from the '70 was going around in massive grops and toppped jeans' jackets, while we were quite dorkly in confront (but yes, maybe we had a C64 , pardon).
Also, while on those years generations changed in 5 or 10 years, nowadays it can be 2 or 3 years between differencies.

Btw, I would like to guess what Tolkien would had said about LOTR being tagged as "hopepunk"

Also, to do a thesis for an academic degree, in the '90, it would commonly (iirc) take 2/3 or 5 years, lately it became usual 3 or 5 months. (Hopefully I'm wrong).

...and yet amazingly useful and accurately predictive, else they wouldn't do it.
I do wonder if there was in fact a post WWII baby boom in Africa and the Middle East, etc, though.
