I have small hands and can hold the 8″ Sage easily in one hand and turn page using top button (either hand and top set to next), or swipe. Can't do it with any 10 inch or larger and the 6″ Kindle is harder to hold and turn page than the 7″ Libra or the Libra 2 due to no extended bezel on one side.
The lack of bezel on the phones now makes them prone to false gestures. |

Well, I think that the smaller an e-reader is, the easier it is to hold with one hand and turn the pages.
In any case, I've always found it more comfortable to use both hands (if they're not occupied) than just one to hold and turn the pages of an e-reader, regardless of its shape and size. |

I personally find it very uncomfortable to hold the Tolino Vision 6 (identical to the Kobo Libra 2) with one hand for a long time. Any of my 6" e-readers are much more comfortable for that specific purpose. But if you find it more comfortable, that's great. |

Whereas I find the Libra 2 much more comfortable to hold with one hand than a 6" ereader with narrow bezels.

I'm a one handed reader on my Kobo Libra Colour (and other Kobo's). My truck has always been to hold the Kobo upside down and in my left hand. My thumb is on the front bezel, the index finger resting on the back of the Kobo (between the Kobo and the case) and the other fingers on the back of the case.
I've also swapped the buttons so that the top button does the forward page turns and is pressed by the thumb. |

6" e-readers come in many different shapes. Some have page-turn buttons on the sides, at the bottom, asymmetrical... (to mention the shape of some that I have). In general terms, regardless of their shape, I find 6" e-readers more comfortable to hold with one hand because they are smaller and lighter than any 7" model (there are also different shapes in this size). Similarly, and for the same reasons, I find a 7" e-reader more comfortable to hold with one hand than an 8" one. But every person and every e-reader is different. Generalisation is always unfair to specific individual situations.

It's not just about the size of the Reader. It's about how easy it is to hold one-handed. The Libra 2 is very easy to hold one handled. Also the H20 was very easy to hold because it has no buttons. It's a similar form factor to the PW5/PW6.

Voyage is still the best, IMHO, but I've been happy with the Signature as well. My vision damage is such that contrast is a big deal. Earlier recent paperwhites have been a bit less on the contrast compared to the Signature. Some of the Kobo's have been fine as well, but I haven't done a comparison on them in some time.

I couldn't let my Voyage die either so I did a battery swap not too long ago. The swap had two hiccups. The first is that the ifixit directions to remove the shiny black piece could break the hold down clips. The comments on that step have much better instructions on how to remove the part without breaking anything and how to put it back together. The second is that the battery more likely than not will be glued down. Old credit cards, patience, and lots of slow wiggling around of the cards will make the battery pop off.

Thanks for the feedback, Scoob!
Is your reading time back to normal after the swap? Sometimes you get very old batteries for outdated devices. |

This is inflammable, so be super cautious and don't bend/break/puncture/short the battery. |

Ifixit does sell the Voyage battery and I would've bought it from them for your reason of not wanting to end up with old new stock. I figured they would have a fresher source of batteries but it was sold out when my Voyage tried dying on me. I just bought mine off ebay from some seller that reportedly had stock over here in the US. |
