Extra CSS needs to be enabled on a per format basis

The problem we have now is that when doing a conversion, extra CSS is a common option. That needs to be changed to a per format basis. I have extra CSS I want when converting to KF8. I don't want it when converting to any other format.

Would this please be done so conversion works better? Thanks.

Add your extra css under the amazon selector, cant remember what it was off the top of my head, but googling should find it.

That won't work because I don't want to modify the CSS of every eBook. I only want to modify KF8 format eBooks. It has to be on a per format basis in order to do this.

Have you tried wrapping your extra CSS for KF8/azw3 in @media amzn-kf8 { .... } selectors? The CSS will only apply to KF8 format ebooks, anything else will just skip it. For example:

   html {  
     margin-right: -47px;
     margin-left: -47px;
     break-inside: avoid !important;
   }
}

Nope. because I don't want that in my ePub. I on;y want the extra CSS in the KF8 eBooks.

Then just take the minute it takes to open in the editor and "fix" the css the way you want it. That is what I do for every epub and azw3*.

*azw3 is the more used and common name for kf8

KF8 is the name Amazon uses for the KF8 format.

Then use the editor and edit your books individually. I realize that having extra lines in the stylesheet that will not be used is anathema to you but life is tough all over.
