When you save to a text file or book, where is it stored?

I'm running calibre 8.10 with Windows 11 and I just used TextDiff twice and it seems to be faster then the when I previously used TextDiff.

Thanks for the feedback! I can confirm that, even though I'm still on Windows 10. Previously, displaying the result in the text window (Qt's QTextBrowser) took about two-thirds of the total runtime; now it's only about one-fifth. I suspect an improvement in Qt or Python.
