J'ai suivi la procédure pour flasher l'image sur la microSD avec balenaEtcher et insérer la carte dans la Kobo.

Le problème que je rencontre est le suivant :

Au démarrage, l'écran affiche bien « Bienvenue sur Kobo » avec les options de configuration.

Quand je tente de connecter le Wi-Fi, je saisis le mot de passe et la Kobo indique que la connexion est réussie, mais elle revient immédiatement à l'écran « Bienvenue sur Kobo » et me redemande de configurer le Wi-Fi ou de connecter au PC.


J'ai également essayé de brancher la Kobo au PC, mais elle n'est pas reconnue correctement pour faire la configuration

Auriez-vous une idée de ce qui pourrait causer ce problème ? Pensez-vous que l'image nécessite un firmware plus récent ou y at-il une manipulation particulière à faire après le flash pour que la Kobo puisse se connecter au Wi-Fi et au PC correctement ?

Your WiFi issue is likely that the firmware in the image is too old to have the newer security protocols required to connect.

For the USB connection, does your Kobo mount and show as a drive on your computer? I know that Kobo no longer supports the Kobo Desktop application in Europe so that is not going to be a choice. If so you can download a newer firmware and copy the contents of the .zip file to the .kobo directory on your Kobo. You can download the firmware using the links on Patrick Gaskin's Kobo Firmware Downloads page. Once the update is done, you should be able to use your WiFi connection.

If your Kobo does not mount on your computer to show the storage, you can take the µSD card out of your Kobo, mount it on your computer, copy the contents of the firmware update file to the .kobo directory and then re-install the card in your Kobo. When your Kobo is turned on, the new firmware should be installed and then setup will continue.

Hi all, and especially @DNSB: thanks for sharing the image via PM + instructions!
Especially which image to use, since there are 5 different versions for the Kobo Libra 2.

Since my Kobo completely died (no response whatsoever) I never expected it never to work again but... it did :-)

What I did:
1. Replace battery => don't do this! first try the new SD card image, replacing the battery (10 euro @ aliexpress) probably was not neccesary
2. Removed the SD card, which could not be formattted due to some vague error. But this indicated that the SD card was the cause of the problem
3. Flashed a fresh 64GB micro SD card with the image i got from @DNSB. This installs a 32GB image onto it. Which works fine.
4. Did hard reset: nothing
5. Plugged in power: reset process started
6. Reset process got stuck in loop!: select wifi - OK => download update - OK => installing update NOK => reset process started again. and so on.
7. Googled: suggestion was to download Kobo Desktop
8. Downloaded it here and not from official site because it is not available in europe anymore!
9. Installed and ran the program, logged in using google account
10. Connected ereader by USB - C cable. And the program detects it and starts the udpate again.
11. And this time, the update went through and it came back to life!

Elle se connecte seulement quand je clique sur "configurer avec ordinateur" ensuite elle s'affiche sur mon pc.

Mais quand je mets la dernière version firmware dans le sous dossier kobo et la débranche => l'écran devient tout noir donc je dois RE flasher l'image et je retombe sur choisir la langue puis configurer JE SUIS BLOQUE JE NE SAIS PLUS QUOI FAIRE ???
