iOS 26 issues

Well, it looks like Apple decided to take over control of font/text size within all their apps in their iOS 26 update. This causes a couple issues with Marvin that are definitely annoying. There are some workarounds in case you are interested.

- The font size is reduced to very small regardless of you changing the size within Marvin.

FIX: Go into the Aa settings and turn ON the "Uniform text size" selector. That will allow adjusting text size, but it also messes with any css that would increase font size, such as initial drop caps.

- In paginate mode tapping on the edge of the screen to go forward/back will zap to the beginning of the next or previous chapter. You will also be stuck within a two chapter range and not be able to read anything but the first page of the two chapters...

FIX: Select "Vertical scroll" in the PAGE LAYOUT section of the book settings. I actually prefer vertical scroll as I can set an auto-scroll and adjust the speed to my reading rate with a simple gesture - no more "tapping thumb"!

That's what I've found so far. If you see any other issues caused by iOS 26, or if you find a better way to fix these two issues, please let us know here. Please avoid saying which of your favorite apps we should switch to, this thread is how to keep Marvin working!

Marvin is dead. Time to find a program that you like that works.

Marvin was buggy when we could not see the text options when highlighting. Now it's a mess and really needs to go. Those trying to hang on to Marvin, let it go.

Please read the post before you blither on.... This is a how to keep Marvin running thread, not another possibility for you to blather about what you don't like.

It's nothing to do with what I like or not. It's to do with the fact that Marvin is buggy and will never be fixed.

I beta tested Marvin and I used it until it stopped working properly after being abandoned.

Soooo you have no skin in this game...you do not use Marvin... you do not know how iOS26 effects it, so you have nothing constructive to add on issues or fixes. You are simply butting your nose into a thread to rant about something you say you don't care about... Stop being a bully...
