I need a recommendation for an online discussion group.
I joined an online book club that will meet monthly via Zoom. Each month we'll discuss several chapters. It would be helpful between meetings to have some kind of online discussion of topics about the chapter we're reading that week. This would only have to be a traditional bulletin board type format. I don't need video, audio or a live feed. Similar to any user forum, but easy to use for people who don't normally participate in online forums.
I am a member of online discussion groups here and on Discord, WordPress and other formats. I don't use Facebook, although I'm sure other members of the club do, and maybe that's the simplest way to do this. Since this is my idea, you know what will happen: "Great idea. Run with it. Create it and send us a link or an invitation to join." So what I want is something easy to create with minimal maintenance, and very easily accessible for people who are computer literate but maybe not involved with online discussion groups. A mobile app is not necessary because I can guarantee you that none of the club members will be using his or her phone for it. |

Hi, imho you can give a watch at: https://github.com/RetroShare/RetroShare
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retroshare https://retroshare.cc/ The project seems being kept updated, even if the last release is from 2023. |
