Show Sort by Menu Shortcut - not working

Windows 10, Calibre 8.10

Not a big deal, don't really need a shortcut for it, SortBy is in my book list context menu.

I had it set to Ctrl+Shift+S, didn't use it often but when I tried to use it today it did nothing, so I set it None and switched back to the Default (Ctrl+F5), that worked, so I changed back to Custom, tried to enter Ctrl+Shift+S - did not register, entered Ctrl+Shift+Y - that registered and worked.

Far I can tell Ctrl+Shift+S is not used for anything else in calibre, by Windows or another other app.

Setting it to Ctrl+Shift+S works for me. My suspicion is that some plugin is using the shortcut.

Nope not an optional plugin - None installed.

Was okay in Safe mode - ergo startup gadget.

Been a couple of updates recently, but no new ones, I'll kill them one by one.

Found it - not where I expected it, and it raises a 'why now' question.

Since May 2014, I've used Actual Title Buttons; amongst other things it provides a Stay on Top feature - that was the prime reason for buying it. One of the first things I did was to assign Ctrl+Shift+S to Stay on Top… I used so often, I didn't have to consciously remember which keys to press - muscle memory took care of it.

When Sort by came along I set it's Show SortBy Menu shortcut to Ctrl+Shift+S, and it definitely worked. At the time I thought I might be able to drop View Manager. But I like having saved book list layouts as well as saved sort sequences… so I'll keep VM (probably wouldn't use calibre without its functionality).

I can't be sure the ATB Ctrl+Shift+S worked when calibre was running. I will leave ATB as is, and drop the SortBy shortcuts.

Shout-out to Comfy.n, his Calibre Configuration Reports plugin is enabling me to get my arms around my shortcuts. And it revealed the shortcut slots that are now available for the Preference panels.
