Entries in the 'Restrict displayed user-defined fields' have no effect
I hoped to use this setting on 'Sharing over the net | Advanced' to limit the custom columns that are available to Calibre Sync on my Galaxy A52 (and to any ereader I use).
However, whatever format I use for the column names, the entry is ignored and all columns (containing data) are shown in Calibre Sync. Testing using the server web interface shows the same issue. All columns with data are displayed. This is true even when I stop and start Calibre itself after each change to the 'Restrict displayed...' setting. The only reference i can find in the documentation is to the content server command line option, which refers to a comma-separated list of columns. How do I get this feature to work? Are there other setting that effect this functionality? |

As the tooltip for that setting notes it only affects what is displayed in /opd and /mobile views. Neither the normal content server interface nor calibre sync will be affected by it.
