I was just about to test it, but I'm assuming BookFab works fine with K4PC 2.8.0 (70980) as well. This is because while Epubor is based on Sats's method, DVDFab developed their own. They remove the DRM by communicating with Amazon's servers.

BookFab's method doesn't work since Amazon stopped it.

I would not rely on BookFab to get this right. Even if they manage to fix it again, Amazon is just going to break it.

I can get a Kindle Touch or a Paperwhite 7th gen relatively cheaply on ebay locally. Which,if either, would I be better off getting?

Hi - Sorry, what is a blacklisted Kindle? I'm assuming that's bad? And if I can't buy one from ebay, where can I buy one that is unlikely to be blacklisted? (And of the 2, which would be better, if I decide to take the risk?) Thx 😊

A blacklisted Kindle means it cannot ever be registered with Amazon. So it would do you no good for downloading eBooks.

They may not be blacklisted, but eBay tends to be a good source of blacklisted Kindles.

A Kindle Paperwhite 5th Gen (aka PW1) or earlier. But no earlier then the Kindle 3 (aka Kindle keyboard).

Then when you download eBooks, you'll get KF8 format and not KFX.
