Swiping is stupid. Tapping makes a bit more sense. The goal is minimal movement.

You know what? I'm going to build an ear wiggling sensor.
That's probably the least muscular movement that I can get away with.
It actually looks like an EMG (muscle EKG) would work.

Tapping can leave more fingerprints then a simple swipe. Unless you use a stylus to tap.
