However I do get the borders on inactive tabs if I change User interface style to System default. But that forces calibre into Light Mode even though I have Windows set to Dark Mode. Windows + Qt in this space is as obscure to me as Heidegger is on existentialism.

I am not bothered by the lack of borders on inactive tabs.

Thanks, that gives me a hint on what to look into. I had noticed this didn't bother you

WTF - whilst chatting with my carer on the phone, my Evening Pill alarm popped - and right there in front of me calibre went into Dark Mode.

Go figure - I can't be bothered I'll stick to Heidegger.

Still no luck with borders on inactive Tabs in 2.0.1. The absence doesn't bother me; so I shan’t pursue the issue further.

I've taken 2.0.1 for a spin - shortcuts and Enter are resolved to some degree, but the list is only refreshed if I Quit and Start CCR. Thanks for adding the Default setting that'll save me time when replying here… but I would have preferred Assigned first. I tried moving the Default after Assigned but it didn't persist… not a big deal for me.

I added my "standard" Ctrl+Alt→ and Ctrl+Alt← for Next Tab and Previous Tab, they do work if a list does NOT have focus but they don't work if a list has focus… i.e. same as the hard coded settings.

You might want to borrow from Sigil and implement a toggle to flip between Focus on List and Focus on Tabbar, look in the View Menu.

chaley did something similar to deal with switching focus between the Tag Browser and the Book List - it's the Give the Tag browser keyboard focus shortcut in the Miscellaneous group. Less elaborate and probably closer to what we have here.

Oddity: When I double click a shortcut, Calibre's shortcuts dialog appears. When I close it with either ESC key or clicking Cancel, it closes but then opens again immediately. No issue closing a second time.

Something similar happens double clicking plugins, your info dialog pops, then pops again when the first is closed.

I don't see this with the other tabs.
