Not for me. With the columns enabled the "Synopsis" on my Libra 2 contains comments and nothing else. The "Details" contains pages, words, publisher, etc.

Some people use a plugboards to add stuff to the comments. You mentioned using that feature in post #315. @Stikerr: is it possible you have a plugboard set up for your Kobo?

Just a comment: this is the comment section in the library, and I think @Stikerr is referring to library too. As far as I know, plugboards are not involved here.

If you configure the plugin for storing annotations from ereader, but don't configure a specific column for annotations, the default destination field is "Comments". (Sorry, I hadn't readd the last part).

Hmmm...

I thought "installed the plugin" meant that they were talking about stuff on their Kobo. However, I see that the OP never actually said that.

Book details is where you can choose what columns show up with the comments (aka book description).

I'm a bit confused, unless I've overlooked something the KU plugin has no code that modifies book comments in the library in any way. The only thing that deals with comments is the "Update metadata in device library" feature, and as the name says that updates the comment on the device, not in the Calibre library.

Is this maybe about the Annotations plugin?

Annotations for sure, but another point is "Reading Progress" (according to the original post and my own experience), but I don't really knows how it happens, my only guess is if you check "Store progress" and don't define the columns for it.

Hmm, I can't reproduce that by either unsetting some or all of the columns. If a column is unset it should simply be skipped. So I think I would have to see a debug log of it happening to be able to investigate it.

Can you show us a screen shot so we can see what's going on?

It is Calibre that is doing this (combines Comments and #notes (my reading position field)

And only in the Book Details pane (mine is at the bottom when I bother. I normally use the I(nfo) view

Not always, this is the image I've pasted before (or similar) but widened. As you can see, I'm editing book details and it's inside comments field. As I've said, I don't know why it happened but....

Weird. I normally use all on 1 Tab, but I switched so Comments are as you show (to the side). There is no scroll bar.

The reading position is still only on the Custom tab:#notes
Also, there is no lines either above or below, just a simple
