100,000 words doesn't seem a lot. Are you sure you didn't miss off a few zeros?

I think it's probably a million, going by an earlier post.

I know that most people here think that color is unnecessary for just reading books, but I am enjoying it. Since most of my books are either from Amazon or BN, I usually read on the reader that the book was purchased on.

I recently decided to reread the Robert Langdon series which I purchased from BN. I was reading on my Nook GL4. When I got to "The Lost Symbol" I realized that I had the illustrated edition. So I used Send to Kindle and opened on my Colorsoft. It is kind of silly that I enjoyed it so much more because all the illustrations were in color. But, there it is. It brought me joy.

No, it's not. In this vale of tears we must find our joys where we can.

When I buy book bundles, I often end up reading only one or two of the books in the bundle, but the current Storybundle (https://storybundle.com/fantasy) - up for one day more - I haven't come across a dud yet.

Suzannah Rowntree: Tall & Dark, in a 1800-ish Europe where royalty are literal monsters, a governess and an inventor cooperate to impersonate a missing princess to steak an inheritance.

Tansy Rainer Roberts: Power and Majesty, about a dressmaker in a renaissance-ish city with Roman culture, where a dysfunctional gang of superheroes defend the city against supernatural threats in secret.

Stephanie Burgiss: The Harwood Spellbook. Ever since Boudicca drove out the Romans, women have been politicians and men have been magicians in Angland. But things are going to change.

Thanks. I searched out some of those books, they seem interesting.

While returning the borrowed book at the library, I've took some time to see the place, turns out that - wasn't the librarian to have put parfume on the book - that tiny hamlet library have had a single donation of 3500 sci-fi books, time ago. A wall entirely full of them, from the '70/'80/'90. It made me wonder to drop the 2026 goal of following the Urania e-book releases, and just go in there, pick up 4 at once, and so on; for free. Not really for the monies, but looking at those books, the covers, the aged paper, the thickness... also them printed characters aren't too small; just first/second OMG good editions.
