Sometimes there are not available translated books, like no ebook nor physical others, and the availability brings back to buy an used one (K. W. Jeter, Dr. Adder - 1984)

That's why I read mostly in English. Too few translated books are available in my native language.

The book you linked to is available in English as an ebook, and pretty cheap too.

Can you call and ask the librarian to merge your accounts?

I had to get a new library card from the library in the next town over (back when they were still free) and they were able to transfer/merge my holds, wishlist, etc to the new number. It took a day or so but they did it.

Of course this was back when it was only Overdrive and there were automatic holds on books requested (before Libby took over holds) so things may have changed.

I'd considered that too, it would be my 3rd book in english; having a quick, free-hands dictionary on the erader helps too.

Yes, it's much easier to read in a foreign language now. Back when I started to read in English, over 30 years ago, I had to keep a paper dictionary open beside the paper book. Oh, it was a slow and laborious process.

These days I don't need a dictionary often - mostly for specific slang words or historical terms (when reading a historical novel), and I use the Oxford English dictionary on my Kobos for this. There is no English-Estonian dictionary available for ereaders anyway.

Is this one of those cases where there is no authors into the premiere exclusive, book is old, but the only available ebook yet is on Amazon?
(Did you seen it elsewhere?) I'll take it anyway, and search by myself how to convert it; I'm asking just to be certain 'cause I'll searched anythere, but there might be sites that I don't know.

Yes, it was on Amazon. As it's in KU, it probably is not available elsewhere.

You should be able to download and deDRM it by using an old Kindle for PC version (for example, 1.17).

Thanks, I was thinking it wasn't that weird (the deDRM thing): I don't like to fulfill the computer within bloats tbh... But, btw, I did forgot to mention the bestest place where to also search: and did found it on eBay.it, not sure if the version I'd bought is illustrated or not (not too important), at 4,40 euro (including 1,40 for shipping - the version is the translated one).
While giving it a look onto the Internet Archive (didn't had an account yet, so doing that would be usefull too), the ebook version on Amazon isn't illustrated either (the one on the Archive yes).

Heh. A paper copy didn't even enter my mind. I read paper books only when there's absolutely no ebook available anywhere, even on Amazon.

Maybe I'm just not an enought great reader , yet.
Also the ebook from Amazon doesn't has the afterwords from Philip K. Dick (it has been published in 2024 https://www.goodreads.com/work/editi...-adder?page=2#).

Ps: I will learn slowly, but there is a python program for the metadata for IA (Internet Archive).
