Can't Change Icon Themes

I'm trying to change icon themes from Highlights to Flat Design. The icons download, but they aren't being applied. I'm on macOS 15.3.2 and Calibre 8.1.1. I tried restarting both Calibre and my iMac and neither worked.

Note that on macOS you cannot change the application icon any more, but all the remaining icons change fine.

I don’t want to change the application icon. I’ve never even tried to do that. I want to change the icon theme within Calibre and that most definitely isn’t changing for me at all. I can’t even set it back to the default icon theme. Here’s a screen recording.

Works for me, tested on macOS even. Try running calibre in debug mode that might show us what error if any is happening for you

Thanks, but tt didn't work. Says it's Flat Design, but those icons are still Highlights.

Did you try changing the icon theme while running in debug mode?

In any case you most likely have a manually overriden set fo icons. Try deleteing

~/Library/Preferences/calibre/resources/images

I’m sad to say that deleting the images folder no longer works.

The Colorines icon theme I use disappeared after upgrading and is no longer available to add via Preferences. Method that just worked for me is downloading the latest version of the icon theme from the forums and unzipping the the contents to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\calibre\resources\images
