edit to add: I notice the inactive tabs in your screenshot don't show the borders' outline. Interesting. I didn't know Qt behaves differently on Win11 (that's what i'm assuming, since I'm on Win10 and they show...). As for the other issues, I need time to address them. Yes, I chose to leave the CCR shortcut unassigned but it's interesting that it shows as blank instead of none. Not a big deal, but I will take a look.

I'm on Win10 too.

I didn't notice the Tab borders. But like Ctrl+Tab & Shift+Ctrl+Tab, sometimes they're there and and other times they're not. Right now they're not there, but Ctrl+Tab and Shift+Ctrl+Tab are working.

I'll install the new version and look for a pattern.

Added: and the filter boxes are very sluggish, press a key and wait a second or more for it to appear.

Minor issue.

Calibre Config Reports: Version change detected. Resetting column visibility settings.

This message is printed to the console/stdout every time calibre starts - including when you run calibredb.exe. This causes me a problem as I have a routine that is capturing and parsing the output from running calibredb and not expecting this.

Interesting plugin.

List of shortcuts is probably most useful to me, followed by custom column defs all in one place, and sources for different Calibre settings.

A few questions, though:

• I don't see this in the plugin list in Calibre yet. Still testing? Or should it be added to the index?
  
• Very nitpicky--When I read feature "Export: Plugin data to CSV/XLSX with customizable columns" I thought you meant exporting each plugin's data (which would be challenging, at best). Perhaps "Export: Plugin list data..."?
  
• If double clicking a shortcut opens the shortcuts dialog, it would be nice if it also opened at that shortcut. I don't know if that's currently possible, but opening the matching action for the shortcut dbl-clicked should be--I do that for my plugins using code I lifted from kiwidude. Maybe highlight_index()?
  
• Ditto double clicking settings, but that's probably even more ambitious.
  
• Why is this plugin also an audio player? That seems completely outside of scope to me... And +90% of the plugin zip size is the included audio files...

Thanks for asking! Could you please add it? I think my plugins are somewhat eccentric so I was waiting for some official feedback.

I remember I did my best to find a way to bring focus to the matching action. It was like all the time. At some point I may try again using your hints.

Well, this is part of the eccentricity I mentioned

When I found that MobileRead offers a 40MB zip attachment limit, I thought that something like 10MB max would be acceptable

BTW, thanks a bunch also to Kovid, Charles, kiwidude, Thiago, capink, Dalton, un_pogaz, bookfere and many other plugin authors from whom I borrow code and knowledge. Just to name a few! Kiwidude's theme-aware icon management is implemented in many of my plugins.

And when it's installed the audio files are extracted to a separate folder… e.g. D:\Calibre\Portables\CCR Test\Calibre Settings\plugins\calibre_config_reports\sounds.

So, it consumes twice as much space as one might first think.

IMO the audio should go, my first gen Go has a 64GB eMMC drive, the HP equivalent is 32GB… users of such won't want to waste space on unnecessary bloat.

View Manager was last installed on 2024-01-24 17:50:06, and the search settings were set years ago. And why did everything happen at once, was there a singular cosmic event

For the moment, I'll add an option to toggle the audio player section. I will release this new version today.

Regarding those dates I will need time to understand the request. But I believe it may be due to the initial monitoring status. It will track new installs correctly

- added configuration for toggling audio section, accessible via right-click plugin button (or the submenu arrow)
- added some handy shortcuts as you can see in the Help tab
- removed debug messages
