I thought I'd miss Windows 10, but I don't really miss it much. There are add-ons for taskbar, start menu, Explorer and so on. Even so, I would not have "downgraded" if not for support ending in October.

I was the same when I moved to 7 > 10. Still, I'm waiting for support to actually end before I get 11.

I remember when Win 95 was released. Most people I knew were saying it was crap and refused to use it. I started using Win 95 right after it was released and did not regret it. Yes, it had problems, but it was still better than Win 3.1. You could actually multitask, there was native support for longer file names and memory management was better.
I think people as a group tend to resist change in anything. It is part of the human condition.

I remember when Windows 95 was released. I never bothered to install it at home since I had arrived in Chicago earlier than expected. The first version of Windows I ran at home was Windows 2000.

I just deleted my last Windows 10/11 partitions (wasn't doing anything with them except updating them every couple months), but my wife is using Windows 11 on her desktop and laptop so I need to check into this. Thanks for the heads up.

I agree. That's why some people are still running Windows 7 even though their computer can run Windows 10.

Thing is, Windows 11 is really no different to Windows 10 except for this SSD bug.
