Question Using Stylus on sideloaded kepubs
I'm unable to make notes on Self - cooked kepubs and I can't remember how I solved this in the past. Based on this comment by pgaskin this should work but the stylus does nothing (and yes, it's charging and working in Advanced Notebook)

My Firmware is at version 4.32.19501

Pen annotations on epub /kepup are useless compared to typing, as there is no text conversion and no sane export. They can at least be seen on PDFs copied back to computer.
There is only text conversion in Notebooks (cut down crippled version of Nebo).

Those limitations are irrelevant for my use-case, all I require are marking errors in my kepubs (these are converted from CBZ files with either KCC or Calibre > to epub & then passed through kepubify)

If the source format was CBZ, this would suggest your book is made of images and not text. Does the stylus work on a normal KEPUB that contains text? Maybe you're not allowed to write on images; you definitely won't be able to highlight images of text.

No, you can write on KEPUBs that are images no problem.

FWIW, I have it working with books "sideloaded" using Calibre-Web Kobo Sync and Kepubify v4.04 and firmware 4.42.23296 on a KLC. Some of my books don't seem to play nice though...

I can confirm the issue is the firmware, 4.33.19608 seems to be key, this was the missing bit https://github.com/ciromattia/kcc/is...ent-2544633192

Correct, the source file(s) are manga's, the issue is firmware related, see here.
