Hi, my Kobo Libra 2 has not been able to boot for several months. I did install KOReader on it when I first bought it in 2022 and used it fine for a couple of years. Now, it will only flash the white LED when attempting to boot. I've attempted hard resets many times over the past few months with no success. It will sometimes show an I/O icon with three dots below indicating some kind of progress after a hard reset, but then will just proceed back to a blank screen with the LED flashing again.

I've been afraid of disassembling it, but I finally did it today, and actually removed the micro SD card very easily. The layer of glue was very thin on mine. I can read the SD card fine from my laptop, and was able to recover my books like that.

So I'm requesting an image to flash onto the SD card. Or I may upgrade to a new SD card while it's out.

Nevermind! I cloned the old SD card to a new one, installed it in the kobo, and it booted right up. Started going through the update process, and validating my Kobo account. And I just successfully installed KOReader back on it.

I would kindly like to ask for the firmware image for a Kobo N249 Clara HD. I'm trying to fix the reader my wife uses, that it seems like suddenly got a corrupted micro sd card.

Great to hear that you were able to recover your µSD card. If your card is readable, that is my first suggestion since it keeps your serial number, Vcom and waveform information.

I know it's old but I just reawakened my kobo glo hd. It seemed to be working but when I plugged it into my PC it bricked itself. I've taken the sd card out but I need an image so I can reformat it.

Hello guys. Do you have the full image file for the Kobo Aura Edition 2 v1 (N236) device? (When the device broke down, I accidentally deleted the entire micro SD to place the update file instead of the image file.) Can you help me?

Could I get a copy of the Kobo Clara HD image? I haven't used mine in like 6 months and now that I'm trying to boot it up again I'm getting a flashing white LED and the screen is kinda glitchy. Idk if relevant but the Sku on my order email was N249-KU-BK-K-EP

Could someone share the image for the Kobo N506 Clara 2E please?
After replacing it 3 times under warranty, this one died the same fate of the slowly blinking power light. Since they denied warranty already, it's time to well and truly void the warranty. Wish I knew how an ebook reader kills an microSD card faster than any other user (including security cameras and Raspberry Pi)
