7.26 -> 8.8 upgrade and the Kobo Touch Extended plugin
I've kinda lost touch with the Calibre updates. I just know that there's now a built-in replacement to the Kobo Touch Extended plugin, which I'm currently using.
Are the built-in features fully cover all that the plugin does? Will I need to manually set it up to match my current setup?
I need some advice before the upgrade. I'll definitely take screenshots of the plugin's setting pages. Anything else I should do to make the transition go as smoothly as possible?

You will need to manually setup the Kobo driver in 8+ to match how you had Kobo Touch Extended configured.

Thank you, PeterT, I was expecting something like that. What about feature parity between the old extended plugin and the new driver? Are there features that the old extended plugin had that the new driver does not? Might I run into a possible problem there?

I updated to 8.8. Now I don't see the Kobo Touch Extended plugin, just Kobo Touch, which I disabled before. It does seem to have more options than I remember. That's where I should restore the Kobo Touch Extended settings, right?

If you read KePub generated from calibre, there is one option you should check out.

Go to Preferences > Output options > KEPUB output and have a look at the option Prefer improved text justification to proper highlighting.

What that does is let you choose if you prefer better justification or better looking highlights without spaces between some words. I chose the better justification.

Thank you, JSWolf. I do use kepub. Is this option new [Edit: Yup, added in 8.4, it's right there in the change log] ? I should resend all the books now to my Libra after turning this on?
What does it do differently? Is that some CSS thing?
