Problems compressing epub & sending via Calibre and Send To Kindle

Please can someone help me on this? I've tried really hard for hours and nothing is working for me. The epub is 72MB size and is a baking cookbook so has lots of images.

I've tried compressing via Editor which reduced it to approx 15MB but it still won't Send To Kindle (error 999) which only says something wrong with format. Have also tried via a paid compression on ebookcompressor.com and it still won't send. Also taking forever to go through Kindle Previewer. Would some kind soul take pity on me and help me get it compressed and in the right format and size that will actually send either via Calibre or Send To Kindle. I downloaded it from mobilism. Title, author, link redacted. Pirate site; book copyrighted. It works fine downloading the full size file onto my iphone then opening in iBooks so I don't understan why it won't work for Kindle. I've tried the Calibre editor too but to be honest, I don't really know what I'm doing with that. Help pretty please? Many thanks .... nephtine

			Convert epub to azw3

Transfer AZW3 via USB. There is a size limit on Web "Send to Kindle" and a smaller limit on email. EDIT If you compressed it small enough then likely the images would be rubbish. Last edited by Quoth; 08-03-2025 at 05:07 PM. Reason: Size |

Thanks Quoth but can't transfer via USB as the Fire tablet I'm emailing to isn't in my possession. I already tried the AZW3 conversion but Send To Kindle said it didn't accept that format.
