Seems expensive for 16 GB of storage.

Yes, they should be discounting 32G and offering a 64G or 128G. The difference is less than cost of Wireless charging, which is a wasteful gimmick. You can read a "flat" ereader via 2m USB cable in bed and a so-called wireless (really in contact induction) charger needs a cable and PSU and wastes power.

I was under the impression that the 245TB drives are not yet available for purchase. Consider the cost of the 122GB drives, they are not going to be cheap. You may as well add PureStorage's DFM modules which are currently 150TB and expected to hit 300TB RSN. Admittedly, those modules only work with PureStorage's hardware.

Both versions are available in Australia. I just purchased the Signature edition as my overworked, much travelled five year old Paperwhite has suffered a screen malfunction

Although I only found out about this afterward, another outlet reconfirmed in June, through an interview with Mr. Panos Panay, that it would soon be available in Japan. Around the same time, I read on Reddit that an Australian media outlet had revealed its launch within Australia. I believe Canada was the only region for which there was no information. Even the Kindle Colorsoft 16GB SKU itself was known through Amazon.com.br. |
