Removing DRM from Kobo book

This is just a wild guess, because I use Obok + calibre on the same Windows machine, and I never changed the standard behaviour, but if you go to calibre -> Preferences -> Plugin and search for Kobo, you can configure which folder it needs to check out to import books. Would that solve your issue?

Using Obok gives you KePub. Used DeDRM+DeACSM gives you ePub. Go for the ePub.

The problem is that most more recent Android versions don't give regular file access via a regular file system. I have Android apps now that can't save/read where I want. Android uses a "Storage Framework" api. Apps need special approval to behave like a regular file browser.

Thank you for the replies. I solved it using a Macbook.
I'm trying to use my android e-ink notebook for as many tasks as possible, so I was trying to remove the drm with it, but I failed.
The main problem was ADE App: it fails to download the ePub using the ACSM file (error accessing the Adobe server), and the ACSM plugin did not work under the wine emulation of Calibre under Android.

For so many people these days their phone is their computer; desktop computers or laptops are a thing of the past for them.

Home PC /Laptop sales have more or less collapsed, or at best stagnating. Depends on country.

I expect at some stage the traditional Mac will be gone, replaced by an iPad with keyboard and mouse. MS can't do that because of Corporate applications and their failure with phones, tablets and ARM (yes I know Windows Tablets and MS Surface exists).

Even on unmodified Android 6 you can do real email (K9 mail), image editing (snap seed), Chrome Browser, and text editing with a real keyboard and mouse, or touch (Jota). The Gboard real-time handwriting with a human finger tip to text also works fine on Android 6 in all apps, better than Sage, Elipsa or reMarkable.

However running Linux programs (and windows ones via WINE) on Android is a bit mad. Though I did once run DOS programs and games on Symbian S60 via DOSBOX, and that works on Android too (and entire Win3.0 is possible).
Running CP/M programs on Android might even work better than WINE or DOSBox.
