Unhappy PRS-650 Skipping Paragraphs/Pages?

So I recently just bought a Sony PRS-650 and so far it has been great, however I noticed that (very rarely) the device just seems to skip a page/paragraph entirely when trying to turn to the next page. Sometimes going backwards solves this problem (albeit a bit annoying) however occasionally even that does not work, and I found out I have to change my font size to XS to load in the missing paragraphs, does anyone know why this happens? I already checked the ePUB file on different devices and confirmed the file is not corrupted, so it must be the device thats acting up.

If you are using the buttons to turn the pages, stop doing so and use the touch screen. If you are using the touch screen (tap to go forward) and it's doing this strange behavior, try swiping the screen to the left to change the page. I've never used the buttons and I've never seen anything like this.

Thanks for the reply. I just tried swiping to the left and the same issue is still coming up.. maybe its the file? I saw online that Sony readers have trouble reading ePubs where chapters are over 300 KB, so I downloaded a different issue of the same book (which the entire book is 700 KB). I'll give this a go and see if the same issue arises.

If the ePub is without DRM, put it in calibre and do an ePub to ePub conversion and see how it goes.

I haven't noticed the skipping quirk on my 650. It does happen on my 350 though when on small or medium font and swiping or using buttons. I've also noticed that tapping (even when using the stylus) to bring up dictionary sometimes selects the wrong word too. Both quirks are solved by reverting to XS font even the tapping which I figure wouldn't get more accurate the smaller font you go.
