In case anyone else comes along and finds this, to install the devcerts on (at least) a K5/Touch, I followed the directions in this post: Quote:

Has anyone managed to fix this on a KT5?
I tried installing the DevCerts update and replacing the KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2, but I still get the error message, including when trying to access JBPatch. I then reinstalled the jailbreak, installed the DevCerts update, and replaced the KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2, and the error still appears. Finally, I performed a factory reset, installed the jailbreak, installed the new devcerts, the Mobileread Kindlet Kit, MRPI, and the new Kual file, and I still get the error. |

Don't use azw2 file, install KUAL bin installer using MRPI.

@maxwell1755 You use it / run in / start it (MRPI) directly via ;log mrpi search-bar command that was injected / defined when you installed the hotfix.
That's the alternative way of runing MRPI script and that's what's being used to install KUAL itself. It does look somewhat confusing and counter-intuitive ![]() |

TLDR if you are on PW2 5.12.2.2, install KUAL by command
Code:
;log mrpi if you are on PW2 5.12.2.2 like me, after Jailbreaking, the KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 is still not working and giving this error "This device is not authorized as a test Kindle by the developer of this item". Turns out that I can install .bin by the MRPI although the "install update" is greyed out on 5.12.2.2. put Update_KUALBooklet_v2.7.37_install.bin under the /mrpackages folder, and then run Code:
;log mrpi It resolved the issue for me. |

Hi, I'm trying to write a custom extension to use my old PW3 as a dashboard, but I'm having some trouble with stopping the framework.
I've got some very minimal code at the moment: Code:
#!/bin/sh DIR="$(dirname "$0")" LOG="$DIR/log.txt" echo "Stopping lab126_gui" >> "$LOG" initctl stop lab126_gui >> "$LOG" echo "Stopped lab126_gui" >> "$LOG" Note that I am able to launch Koreader and kterm. I also don't know if it's related, but I also keep getting log files in my library about, "Mismatches between cc.db entries and storage" Any help is appreciated, thanks!
