I am on Calibre 7.26 for the reasons I have written.
I have activated calibre server. Browsing the library via web and cliccking on a file, it opens the browser PDF reader. Has Calibre Server a building reader? How do I activate it?

The reader used for an ebook format by the machine accessing calibre server would be chosen by setting the default program for each ebook format you want to read. There is no reader supplied by calibre server.

Thanks, I have misread the documentation. I thought Calibre had an internal reader. However, it would be great if calibre had it togeder with each user account, so you could have page read syncing accross multiple devices.

calibre server has a builtin reader for actual ebook formats not for PDF. And you can sync it with the desktop reader as documented in the manual.
