I just went through the spam folder of my email account. I got one of those "we hacked your phone and got all your pictures, pay us or we release them" scam emails. Seriously, my camera roll consists mainly of progress pictures of my cross stitch projects, pictures of books I come across in stores that look interesting and I want to read the reviews for before buying them and pictures of the timetables of tram and bus stops near us. So go ahead and release those.

I'm repeatedly impressed at them threatening to release webcam pictures of me watching porn to my Facebook contacts. I don't have webcam or Facebook account. Nor do I watch porn (I'm asexual).

My friend who has both jokes that all his friends know he watches porn anyways, so bring it on!

Yeah, I get those too. I don't do porn either and the webcam is switched off (my laptop's got a physical button to turn the webcam on and off).

I recently got a WhatsApp message from an unknown number, from my daughter that she lost her phone and access to her bank account and if I wanted to lend her €500. I never had kids. I've also had various WhatsApp/text messages from DHL/FedEx/etc that I needed to pay them to get a package delivered.

And of course the usual pre-recorded phone messages from IRS/police/International Court of Justice in The Hague. Those I hang up on and I block the number.
