It's possible that there is a problem with the custom recovery that I gave you, but the stock one should work.
Are you sure that your copy of stock recovery is good.

I don't know because I flashed firstly the recovery.img extracted from update.zip and then your recovery without dump the original recovery.img (my mistake). I also flashed another recovery extracted from a previously frimware update.zip.
I also flashed misc-recovery and misc-empty but nothing change.

In my opinion the problem isn't related to the receovery but to the active slot, that is B but it is also marked as unbootable, so the system after initial boot operations cannot move forward. Am I wrong?

If you have xbl and abl the same on both slots, that's 99% right there.

Well, obviously I'm too dense to figure out what is going on.
As I said, there must be some missing ingredient that we're overlooking.
If you had had a full raw backup you could just slap that on.

Yes, but I'd have to write code for that, you'd have to read, process and flash 12 separate areas and the potential is good to make things worse.
