I've had authors I really enjoyed and and then read a book and thought how did that get published? Did the agent / editor / publisher get greed for sales over-ride common sense?

A Passage to India is a book where all the non-Indians should have sank on the way to India. It would be a much better book about the ship going down.

Ditto. I can't stand hot weather; I feel terrible, tired and headachy and can't focus on anything, even reading.

I read somewhere it's because the dilation of blood vessels, and less oxygen getting to your brain.

You would not want to live here. We hit 101 F (a little over 38 C) for the last two days. AC is mandatory here.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere south of my current location. Folks here whine about our nasty, cold and muddy weather all the time, but it suits me just fine, except for high summer. Then it's too hot for me. Well, I'm weird.

I wouldn't mind the heat so much if the humidity didn't make it so hard to breathe.

Where I was living last year is currently 110°F (43°C) all week.
But it does get hotter too sometimes.

For me, even 25°C is too much.

For me 25°C is perfect for walking around outside if I don't have to hurry. 30°C is lovely if I'm lounging by a swimming pool with a cocktail. Anything above that starts to get a bit much, especially in England where it's always so humid with it.

Our humidity is usually between 90% and 100%, even in winter.
Right now, at 7:45 am EDT the humidity is 89% and the temperature is 79 F 26 C with a high today of 96 F 35.5 C.

12-15°C is perfect for walking for me. 20°C is getting a bit too warm, anything above 20°C is definitely too warm.

I've always felt this way. I'll take any cold, snow or rain over warm weather. It isn't excess body fat either, as I'm not overweight.
