KPW3
Does Kubrick work to debrick a KPW3?
My device is stuck on the Amazon Tree boot screen with both soft and hard resetting just going back to it. I have Windows and Ubuntu running in VWFusion on a Silicon Mac host so I'm not stuck for platform to get into the device. I just want to make sure I am following a tried and tested proper step by step guide. I've downloaded 'update_kindle_all_new_paperwhite_5.16.2.1.1' from Amazon as the most recent firmware but am yet to do anything with it yet. Appreciate any helpful pointers. |

I have the Kindle Keyboard D00901. I have tried to run Kubrick from the usb several times, but the part where it says that it will take several hours to flash takes literal seconds, and then when I go to reboot after it says it's done, nothing happens. I am thinking I might have a dying battery, but I want to know if the device is toast before I cough up twenty bucks for a battery. I have gotten it to reboot a few times, but after the last time(which was before I got Kubrick working) it just froze on the main screen after I turned it on, when I pushed the menu button. I have even tried pulling the battery, discharging the device, then putting the battery back in and plugging it into a pc. That worked once, but it didn't keep. Hope someone smart is still watching this thread.
