KOreader no longer launches

My Kindle has been working with KOreader for months.
I recently downloaded books through Calibre, and since then, when I try to open KOreader, it just goes blank and then returns to the main screen. Is this a known issue, please?

Your kindle might have updated.

Turn off wi-fi, restart (simple restarts) your Kindle twice, then run Hotfix “book”.
If you didn’t do the OTA blocking, then this is a good time as well

This is an 11th generation Kindle. Firmware version 5.16.2.1.1 (40975300002).

OTA blocking should already have been installed.
I looked here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=225030 for the Kindle hotfix, but I can't find it. Do you have a link, please?

Also, OTA blocking needs not only install, but also activation in KUAL

On the Kindle, I restored the OTAs, connected the Kindle to the PC, set the .bin file to root, unplugged the Kindle, and launched the update. When I reorganized, I opened the hotfix book in the library. In KUAL, I blocked updates again.
I tried launching KOreader, but it redirects me to the main menu.

You need to try installing your hotfix again.

Unless you updated or factory restored Kindle twice in a row…

I hope is ok to post in this thread, since I'm having the same problem.

I have a kindle PW4, sw version 5.17.1 that I have jailbroken a few months ago. I installed KOReader on it following the instructions of kindlemodding.org. Loved it!

I was removing some custom fonts from the Koreader fonts folder when it stopped working. Now it won’t start Koreader, when I select the Kual booklet -> Koreader ->Start Koreader, instead of showing the “starting Koreader ...” message at the bottom of the screen, it briefly shows a blank before returning to the Amazon library screen.

I have tried mergen3107 suggestion (Turn off wi-fi, restart (simple restarts) your Kindle twice, then run Hotfix “book”) the hotfix is successful but the behaviour is the same.

I’m desperate to have Koreader working again, anyone able to help?

Copy over koreader folder to Kindle again
And stop messing with files in koreader folder
