1. Customizable controls in Task Manager (Being able to change actions, just like what we could do in application menu. For example, I could change "Lock" to "Bluetooth")

Bluetooth file transfer.
As far as I know, the old PocketBooks had this feature, but my Touch HD3 doesn't seem to have it. It would be quite convenient to have some possibility to transfer files without the need to plug in the USB cable. So far I have a small webserver on my local home server, where I can download files via the PocketBook browser, but this doesn't work in other locations. Having bluetooth transfer would come in really handy here. |

Please add saving the speed settings when playing audiobooks. I set the speed to 1.3x but after turning Pocketbook off and on, the speed is 1.0x

I searched this thread but didn't see it. The one thing I would like to see is an option to also have % of book read in the status bar. (Unless someone knows how to do that and can share the secret).

I'd love to have the possibility of chosing a folder with photos that could rotate as power-off screensavers (instead of have only one). (I like the element of surprise.)

In this case I used the following workflow: 1. Set a gallery photo as offlogo/bootlogo. (That copies the image to system > logos > [folder of the power-off logo or the boot logo].) 2. Go to [system > logos > ...] > rename the file [e.g. pb_startuplogo.bmp to whatever.bmp]. 3.Replicate the process until I had a few images and — finally — set the Boot Logo and Power-off Logo to random. A bit of work, but it worked. |

Any good audiobook player needs a pause timer. A simple drop down that let's you automatically pause the after 10,15,30,60,120 minutes or when the current chapter finishes.

Webdav
Hi, I would like to access webdav to fetch books.
This will be useful for f.e., Nextcloud or any other webdav storage service. The advantage of webdav is that it can be self hosted. |

there is indeed a Nextcloud app for Pocketbook. I'm using it on my Inkpad 3 and it works just fine: You can find it here: https://github.com/JuanJakobo/Pocket...lient/releases |

EPUB3 Audio Ebooks
I wished Pocketbook devices could play EPUB3 Audio Ebooks as nicely as Thorium or Foliate can, using EPUB3 Media Overlays:
Screencast of my laptop (copy-paste service, will be deleted after some time) Thorium just reads Katherine Mansfield – A Cup of Tea. The synced marking of text already works nicely with Pocketbook’s TTS, just not with EPUB3 Audio Ebooks that have real narrator’s voices. Would surely be a great feature for the visually impaired, children, etc. Last edited by Moonbase59; 06-26-2025 at 01:47 PM. |

Markdown
- Markdown. Shouldn’t be complicated to do. Ideally accepting some basic fields from the YAML Header, like title, subtitle, author, date and lang ("en-us") for better sorting and selection of dictionary and hyphenator. Pocketbooks can already show pure text and also HTML documents.
Almost everything nowadays supports Markdown—a simple and highly practical text format. Would be great if Pocketbooks could also display MD documents, at least the CommonMark and GitHub-Flavoured Markdown dialects. I write nearly everything in Markdown—from notes and blog posts to full novels. Sometimes you just want to carry along some Markdown documents, and it’s a nuisance having to convert these to HTML or EPUB before, or read them as text-only. How much neater would it be to just plugin your Pocketbook before you leave, copy your .md files over, and you’d have everything with you. An e-reader isn’t just good for relaxed reading, but can also be a great "reference companion" for technical books, your own notes and texts! |
