I've been meaning to ask you a question. Jailbreak was successful with the old version file, now there are new versions of the jailbreak and hotfix patches. Should we update it?

I noticed that one of the two PW4's I jailbroke was collecting log files so I updated it. The issue went away so I updated the second unit. Admittedly the only reason that I did the jailbreak in the first place was that I was given the second PW4 so I wasn't worried about bricking it.

I'm tempted to say that if it ain't broke, don't re-jailbreak it.

Thank you for your reply. My understanding is that there is no need to update the new version as long as there is no problem in use. Well, then I'm not gonna mess around. I'm gonna use it.

Heyo!

I just jailbroke my kindle and was running into the same issue of the log files being created on usage, adding the "DISABLE" files removed my alerts but the files are still being generated. However, I cannot seem to find (or understand for that matter), which file should I find, create and rename to finally fix the problem.

Since I installed the hotfix after this discussion I assumed the problem would be solved on running it, but it didn't.

Sorry if the question is obvious, I'm really new to the scene

I don't remember exactly since it's been a while but I think there should be a file named "run_bridg.sh" in your "documents" folder after installing the jailbreak. I just found that and garbled up the file extension which is effectively deleting it (as far as I understand). Also I believe I did this pre-hotfix so the behavior might be different in your case.
