![]() I don't recommend using both use_archiveofourown_gay and browser cache. I even added a note about that at the bottom of https://github.com/JimmXinu/FanFicFa...oblematicSites Nope, sorry. |

I wasn't using cache when I got the errors. I turned on cache to get the fic after 2 attempts downloading. Then I turned it back off afer succesful download and it was working after that.

Then I expect it was just the same error / blocking as regular site happening on archiveofourown.gay.
Honestly, I expected that to happen. And I will not be surprised if it eventually becomes just as bad as the main site. Because I don't think we're seeing 'errors'. I think we're seeing 'blocking automated download'. |

If happens again, I'll see if visiting the site in browser might fix something. It worked at the beginning of the ffnet issues before they went aggressive with blocking (and I don't think OTW will do that unless they're being actively DDoSed).

I just installed Koreader into my e-reader, can fanficfare also upload updated chapters to koreader or do I use a different plugin for this ala kobo utilities?

My experience with KOReader is that it opens and reads updated books with new chapters fine just by writing the new epub to the device.
However, it doesn't automatically update the cached metadata displayed in it's file browser, if any of that's changed. The only reason I know anything about it is I've just this last week been switching to KOReader on Kobo. Due to all the extra steps necessary for Kobo's native software (aka Nickel), I decided to disable the KoboTouch and use the User Defined USB device instead. Some discussion over here. |

Hey, not sure if this was brought up, but I've been getting "HTTP Error in FFF '403 Client Error: Forbidden for url: https://www.fimfiction.net/ajax/login'(403)" for every fimfiction story. I checked that my username/password were correct, is there anything more I can do to fix this?
Tested on https://www.fimfiction.net/story/523016/ and https://www.fimfiction.net/story/405121/ Edit: did some searching in the thread, the last mention of a similar issue was from february? Is there no solution besides using flaresolver? Last edited by DisturbedDragon; 06-16-2025 at 03:57 AM. |

New Test Version Posted
2025-06-16 - Send refresh_screen=True when updating Reading Lists in case of series column updates. - Add SB favicons to cover_exclusion_regexp. - Support for logging into royal road to keep chapter progress (and count as page views), #1222, thanks snoonan. |

That looks like you may not have gotten a clean download of the plugin zip file.
Or maybe you didn't restart calibre after plugin update? |

I'd suggest deinstalling and reinstalling from site.

I'm getting "ERROR: Unhandled exception: HTTPErrorFFF:HTTP Error in FFF '525 Server Error:" -- I just updated the plugin and also restarted Calibre. Was trying to download a batch of URLs. Help?
