I bought a cheap second hand GLO HD and installed Quill OS without problem, it works very well. I then tryed to upgrade to 2.0 according to the instructions but it didn´t work as shown in this picture:

What did I do wrong? could somebody explain how I can have it working. I'd like to try koreader and the terminal addon.

oops, that a good point.
I tried to upgrade 2.0 to 2.0, I should first buy a new brain
I still can't add extentension. I followed this post instructions. Put the files in ext partition but the app doesn't appear in the user app list. (the kobox/apps line desappeared as well) Should I add the extension manually to the list? I can see an edit button on top of it but it doesn't do anything .....

Hopefully, it should fix the issues you're having.

To everyone reading this: if there is enough interest and you would like a development image pushed for your device, let me know. Currently, the main development effort is centered on the PineNote, but I don't want to totally declare the Kobo project as "dead", as I still push commits from time to time to the repos.

Both Kterm and Koreader work as I like. I'm going to do further testing but I'm already very pleased with that improvement. I'm sure many GLO HD owners are going to take advantage of that now up to date and more tinkerable cheap device.

Hello! I have 3 questions.

1. I bought a cheap Libra H2O, and I know it doesn't have an internal SD card. Can I just dd the Quill image via USB?

2. If the answer is yes, then I would like to request a build for the N873.

3. The Tolino Vision 4 was manufactured by Kobo. It has specs very similar to Clara HD and Glo HD. Same screen, same processor, etc. Has anyone ever tried installing Quill/Inkbox on the Vision 4? Any tips or warnings? I'm assuming the Clara HD image would be the most appropriate since they both came out 2017-18, while the Glo HD was 2015. Any help would be appreciated!

IIRC, the Vision 4 HD was the last device conceived by T-Systems.

In a review of the Vision 4 the Tolino CEO revealed that Kobo was taking over production. But it was not clear whether he meant going forward, or if the transition had already occured. I couldn't find any other info about who manufactured the Vision 4, but the specs (from https://comparisontabl.es/e-readers/ and PDF specs sheets from Tolino) are nearly identical to the Glo HD & Clara HD. The device lacks an ambient light sensor like the Kobos, so the colorshift lighting is manual not automatic. This could've been part of a Tolino design that was already in progress when the joint production talks with Kobo began -- a design decision they couldn't undo. Anyhow, I assume there will be version info on the device (I just bought one) which may link it to Kobo hardware. Or not.
