Is it safe to put the autoadd folder on a cloud drive or NAS?
Not something I plan to do myself, just wondering.

yes it is fine, worst that can happen is a book wont get auto added if windows has locked the file while calibre is trying to add it or a book will get added twice if windows locks the file while calibre is trying to delete it after auto adding it.

For what it may be worth: I use a dropbox folder as my auto-add folder. This lets me add a book to Calibre from anywhere. I've done this for the last four or five years.
I have had not problems with it. |
