Decades ago read his House of Bones. I mainly remember being disappointed that it didn't live up to it's excellent premise. Should I try again?

I like award-winning fiction:

"His short fiction, collected in The Resurrection Man’s Legacy and Other Stories, has won the International Horror Guild Award..."

However, I do not yet own this collection. That situation will soon be rectified.

ADDED: I DO own The Ghoul Goes West, by Bailey and billed as a novelette. I'm going to read that as soon as I finish an excellent indie collection of short stories by a different author: She Carries the Cosmos, by Kyle J. Durrant. I have one last story to read, and I highly recommend this collection of stories by Durrant.

Flicker is an incredible book. A literary mystery centered around the movie industry that, in many ways, reminded me of The Magus, by John Fowles.

A give-away from Tachyon Publications. You have to be on their mailing list, but I've never been inundated with endless promotions or (what I call) heightened "WOW, HAVE WE GOT A DEAL FOR YOU" crap. That type of promotional BS really turns me off.

As they state:
