Need helps converting Leaf5 to Go7

Hi everyone. I have a Leaf5 and would like to try converting it to the new-released Go7. Both have same 750G soc, 4gb ram, 64gb Storage, 1300 carta screen.
I have managed to pull out the libota_jni.so file from go7 for Booxkey.csv since I dont see it in the list yet (attached). I also got the update upx of Go7 also.

Thank you for the libota. The Go7 has been added.

Could you check the HWID on the Go7?
Have you checked out EDL on it yet?

I'll look for a recovery on the Go7.

How to check the the HWID? Or just load a loader in edl? (i remember that when loading loader for leaf3, adb also returns hwid)

You just run an EDL client without specifying a loader. It prints info.

What does your Leaf5 say? Have you gotten EDL to work on that?

I use a palma2 loader and it works

Hi Renate,
Got your custom rec for go7. It works smooth on Leaf5. The screen goes black after reboot to rec.

Screen show text, straight up, waiting for drive ....Flash succeeds and device reboots
However, the screen touch doesnt work. Maybe it's because go7 has stylus function (it has wacom pen) and leaf5 doesnt. Everthing else work fine, i use a mouse with a usbC to test it. Do you have any idea to flash or somehow make the touch work on leaf5?

Does the Leaf5 even have an equivalent?
Does the Go7 even have an equivalent?

Now that you're on Go7:

If you're rooted get inscan and i2cscan from my Android Shell tools.

adb push inscan /data/local/tmp
adb push i2cscan /data/local/tmp
adb shell
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 755 inscan
./inscan
chmod 755 i2cscan
./i2cscan

i2cscan might freeze things, just reboot.

You should be able to rewrite the custom recovery and use it to flash back the Leaf5.
Then just do the same as you did for the Go7.

I'm not sure I want to invest the time to figure this all out by remote control considering that I have neither of these two devices.
Maybe you should wait until there is a global Leaf5 variant?

. It will be too time consuming to make this work. The custom rec is no problem

AFAIK, Leaf5 and Go7 is the closest devices at the moment, with some differences. No exact equivalent at the moment

As far as I can see, there are no updates for the Leaf5 yet.
Are you 100% sure that it's Leaf5 and not Leaf5X or whatever?

It used to be available by fingerprint. It's probably under ro.vendor.build.onyxfp now.

You can install an app GetBooxUpxKeysApp via .apk to display the model name. It seems that Go7 is the equivalent of the Leaf5. Chinese techmedia are silent about any new models from Onyx atm. They also removed Wacom, most styluses dont work with the new readers.

I see nothing for Leaf5.
Even the Go7 updates only came out recently.
It takes a while.
Besides, I though that you wanted to switch Leaf5 -> Go7
