That indicates an SSL handshake failed error between Cloudflare and AO3. When I look at AO3's certificate, it shows as being valid from April 21, 2025 to July 20, 2025. I can connect to AO3 from my local computer so possibly a transient issue.

So I tried adding the ^ at the beginning and I got an error message

54: Error: personal.ini Error 'Regular Expression Error 'global flags not at the start of the expression at position 1' in part ^(?i).*omega verse.*$' in line 'tags_modified=" blah blah blah And I have it like Spoiler:
which does grab anything with the tag protective in it.. so maybe it just doesn't like the slashes? Last edited by ThreeLizards; 05-23-2025 at 10:28 PM. |

Try replacing the / with \/ or // and see if it works then.

			Okay, so I tried

	Spoiler:
That didn't work I just realized that I have Spoiler:
which is working... I have these three lines to capture omegaverse tags Spoiler:
I checked the bottom part of my personal.ini, cuz I only allow the tags I want through Spoiler:
and that's what I have there... I have no idea what's going on. Like it allows the slash in hurt/comfort through just fine |

Use: (?i)^.*omega verse.*$ Note the ^ is after the (?i) switch. The site https://regex101.com/ is very good about explaining *why* a regexp is wrong. Click Python for the Flavor. Note that a quirk of FFF/Python3 is that you end up needing ^ and $ more often than not to match full strings. |

 Code:
tags_modified=>(?i)^.*Alpha/Beta/Omega.*$=>Trope: A/B/O Omegaverse Yeah, just double checked and this Code:
tags_modified=>(?i).*Alpha/Beta/Omega.*$=>Trope: ABO Omegaverse Last edited by ThreeLizards; 05-24-2025 at 01:02 AM. Reason: double checked that the thing worked in fanficfare |

So I have downloaded ebooks of various fanfics from QQ. and the ebooks have all the chapters of the fics in question when I add them to calibre. But sometimes when I update them via fanficfare it changes the book to only have one chapter. Othertimes it just adds the new chapter with the rest of the chapters. I am not sure what is going on?

![]() I use QQ routinely without seeing that happen. The default epub update mode shouldn't truncate stories, that suggests you're using Overwrite instead. Unlike for most sites supported by FFF, giving a 'chapter' or individual post URL for Xenforo sites (QQ/SB/SV/etc) makes a story from that one post alone, or from the posts linked in it. So if you using Overwrite *and* individual post URLs instead of the thread URL, that might explain it. |

So then what would be the right way to download from qq, and then to update that ebook later on?
