Hiero's Journey and The Unforsaken Hiero, by Sterling Lanier, are both finally ebooks - Hiero's Journey back in April and the Unforsaken Hiero has a publication date of today (9/26). I've been waiting for a long time for these. They're post-nuclear holocaust books, written in the 70s. Lots of weird mutated humans and animals. If you played the game Gamma World back in the day, I understand that Hiero's Journey was a big influence on that. |

Gombrich, The Story of Art. Very popular and influential, if a bit dated. I have a print copy, and there are pdfs and bad epubs floating around, but a legitimate epub would be nice. |

I was surprised to learn this week that most of Robert Heinlein's catalog is not available as ebooks. I guess I've never really looked since he is one of the authors whose books I will keep physical copies of, but I had a hankering to read a few of his books and found they were not available. From what I can glean from googling, the rights to them are all over the place and they aren't likely to be available any time soon. |

I remember that book. I had it once. An epub would be terrible. You need a giant colour tablet or PC screen and a PDF. Or the book.

It looks like a lot of his books are indeed available, Spectrum Literary agency is the publisher. there are a few that are available on the kindle store but no publisher is listed (farmer in the sky, Between planets, the rolling stones, Farnham's Freehold), and I wonder if they're legit. It looks like his last three books (during his lifetime) are not available as kindle books: Job The Cat Who Walks Through Walls To Sail Beyond the Sunset | |

https://www.heinleinarchive.org/manu...ategory=Novels The manuscripts for all three are available here as PDFs. Quite expensive though. I've not actually tried to buy them from there. Greg |
