Thanks, works well on my KT3

The Game and Watch games play well, especially Donkey Kong from G & W 2.
Also Tetris DX plays well, will try a hi-score patched gameboy Tetris at some point.
Cool that Mr Do! works on this emulator, although all the scrolling means it is a bit unsuited to the Kindle.

it would be nice to see an upgrade to this emulator. it's not working in kindle basic 2019, fw 5.17.1.0.3

It most likely will not run on any Kindle with firmware 5.16.3 or higher, until it is recompiled as a kindlehf binary.

Without publish project there is nothing that we can do without the author.
I wonder if there is some Linux solution for handling faster eink display modes that could be applied here optionally.

Damn, this runs great on a used Voyager that I just got, amazing, can't believe I didn't know about this! Really hope we'll get a hf version for newer kindles at some point

For now, never. The OP that posted this hasn't posted anything on MR since 2017 and they did not share their source code so no one else can do it.

That's really unfortunate! This seems like a fascinating project to tinker with just for fun. Now's the time to update! I wonder if the programmer can be reached by other means (edit: the source seems to be linked at the bottom of the first post).

Ah, looks like you're right, it does say "src" there. Perhaps commenters jumped to statements too soon. I wonder if anyone technically skilled can do anything with this now that so many new devices can be jailbroken.

I didn't notice that the last file listed was a source package. I saw the 1.7 lowering to 1.6 without the corresponding package listed with it and just assumed it was a reverse list of binary versions. There is hope, then, that someone would take up the task of building it. It will likely need tweaks to deal with more modern compiler set ups and any changes to the Kindle OS in the mean time.
