Calibre 8.3 - OSError:[Errno, 22] Invalid Argument

It seems that this problem was caused by Windows and not by Calibre

Hello,
I consistently get the error "OSError:[Errno, 22] Invalid Argument" when clicking on a book in the book list. Once this error shows up, no other book can be selected.

Library maintenance shows no errors.

Please help, Calibre is of no use to me this way

What was the solution to your problem in case others need help with the same problem?

It really was a windows problem, the updates from late April really messed with my system. I spent hours on the Microsoft help sites.
Then I installed an optional Windows update and now have OS build 19045.5796 and the problems are solved.
Only the Gods know why
