[GUI Plugin] FanFicFare - Page 716

I'm using calibre on a mac, and for some reason I can't view any of my downloaded fics. I have them set to download as an HTML, and they download fine, but when I try to open them I get this error:
"Unable to expand "ficname.zip". It is an unsupported format".

If I manually download the fic as an epub it does let me open it, but I've never had an issue open HTML files until now. I've also tried going directly to my library file and opening it from there and no dice.

I have about 400 downloaded fics so I'm really hoping I don't have to go back and re-download everything in a different format.

When you add an HTML file as a book to Calibre, it puts in a zip file.

The Calibre reader is able to read those, at least when you open them in calibre.

Unless you only download completed stories you never intend to update, I recommend downloading to epub format. FFF is able to update those.

If the zip file itself is bad, I would suspect full disk or some other more fundamental problem.

Images in that story are explicitly from "https://media.archiveofourown.org/..." in the HTML--even on archiveofourown.gay.

use_archiveofourown_gay:true changes that to media.archiveofourown.gay--and that domain isn't defined in the DNS, so it fails.

You can use browser cache instead for that one. Works for me with images.

Since around 2 weeks ago, images from syosetu.com have stopped working for me. I'm guessing it's an issue with their image hosting site mitemin.net?
I did try using browser cache to workaround it, but this didn't work for me as well

My understanding is that stories on archiveofourown.gay still host images on "media.archiveofourown.org".
The use_archiveofourown_gay:true flag however also converts image URLs to "media.archiveofourown.gay", which is not valid and causes these image requests to fail

I've update that kludge to be more kludgey and *not* replace media.archiveofourown.org, or any other subdomain. Since www.archiveofourown.gay doesn't work, I assume no other subdomains exist.

I was able to download the images in that story. I would suspect it's an issue with the image hosting blocking.

Hi i keep getting 525 server error. I already turned off the adult_true, the user name and password, even put 4 in the slow down? How can i fix it?
